Foster care is very important in animal rescue. We routinely run out of foster parents or families that can take on extra animals. Dachshunds in foster care/or at the Sanctuary, is the best possible option for a dachshund. Bringing orphaned dachshunds into our rescue prevents unnecessary euthanasia. We strive give every dachshund in our rescue the ultimate chance at having a loving forever home. Presently, we do not have a public facility. We have been limited with our fostering and adopting for the past year. Funding, space, and resources have been at minimum to us. Our devoted team is still gathering, regrouping, pushing forwarding. We are now an official 501(c)(3) charity. All of our continued efforts are slowing coming together. We are still networking and helping. No dachshund left behind. Do not forget about us, we have not forgotten about you.
If you are interested in Fostering for us, please contact us through the form on the contact website page.
We still take donations for the permanent fosters and permanent residents of the Sanctuary.
- Towels, sheets, incontinent pads, cleaners, fluffy beds that can be thrown in the washer and dryer are a great use to us. Sometimes the older Dachshunds can't hold themselves to well and the small beds need to be washed easily.
- Dry dog food donations are a blessing. As we all know, sometimes money can be tight, any type of food donated is appreciated. Years of neglect or over vaccination can cause skin conditions and allergies. A great food is a must to combat stress of rescue or rehoming, especially older Dachshunds and some medical issues.
We feed, raw, dehydrated, kibble, "Freshpet", Honest Kitchen, homemade, organic, and other kinds of food.
We also help feed a colony of feral cats. Cat food donation is more than welcome. If interested in donating to our rescue or the Sanctuary, use the contact form to contact us. Email us, or write us a letter also, we would love to hear from you. We are currently applying for a 501c license. Thank you so much for taking your time to read this section of our website.
